Arbitrum Security Council freezes 30,766 ETH stolen from KelpDAO hackerBlockBeats News, April 21 – The Arbitrum Security Council has announced that it has taken emergency action to recover 30,766 ETH stored at an Arbitrum One address, which was associated with the KelpDAO vulnerability. With the assistance of law enforcement agencies, the Security Council has identified the attacker and, while always maintaining the security and integrity of the Arbitrum community, ensured that no Arbitrum users or applications were affected. After a thorough technical investigation and deliberation, the Security Council identified and implemented a technical solution to transfer the funds to a secure location without affecting any other chain state or Arbitrum users. As of 11:26 PM ET on April 20, the funds had been successfully moved to an intermediate frozen wallet. The original address holding the funds can no longer access them, and only the Arbitrum management authority can take further action to transfer the funds in coordination with relevant parties.
