Glonghui, April 10 — The chart below provides a detailed overview of the market value distribution of Berkshire Hathaway's core insurance subsidiary, National Indemnity Co.'s equity holdings, as follows: United States: 23 trillion yen, accounting for approximately 74% of the overall portfolio, remains its primary investment arena; Japan: 7.1 trillion yen, which includes holdings in the five major trading companies such as Mitsubishi Corporation and Itochu Corporation, but specifically excludes the newly announced investment in Tokio Marine at that time. Australia and Others: 1 trillion yen, reflecting a minor allocation in other international markets. Berkshire Hathaway recently announced it will issue 272.3 billion yen in bonds in April 2026, marking the company’s first yen-denominated bond issuance since Warren Buffett stepped down as CEO. As Buffett stepped down at the end of 2025, the market is closely watching how successor Greg Abel will continue to expand its footprint in the Japanese market.
