Switzerland's Lugano Satoshi Nakamoto Statue Vandalized Again, Partially Damaging Steel Structure
BlockBeats News, April 19: The Satoshi Nakamoto statue in Lugano, Switzerland, was once again vandalized, with the statue's metal being bent and damaged. The Lugano Satoshi Nakamoto Museum stated, "You can bend steel, but you cannot distort its meaning." The Satoshi Nakamoto statue in Lugano was created by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi. It was unveiled in October 2024 at Parco Ciani Park. During Switzerland's National Day celebrations in August last year, it was first damaged when individuals removed it from its pedestal, smashed it into pieces, and threw it into Lake Lugano. City workers salvaged the statue, repaired it, and reinstalled it around October 2025, followed by a second unveiling ceremony.
